Smith Hodgkinson Pickervance became incorporated from the rural practice, agricultural, residential, equestrian and horticultural divisions of SHM Smith Hodgkinson in April 2003.

The firm dates back to 1860 when the founders Mr Smith & Mr Hodgkinson trading as Smith & Hodgkinson opened a rural practice firm providing professional services including our renowned auctioneers service to farmers and growers operating from Chorley, Lancashire. The firm expanded its agricultural client base in the 1990's by aquiring the land agent practice Wilson Peat Brewerton and Co., Preston.

Smith Hodgkinson Pickervance continues to provide a full range of rural commercial services to both private and corporate clients with a rural land and property specialisation including agricultural auctioneers and valuers.
